Temasek Polytechnic’s strength as a leading edge school of design comes across sharply in this playful TVC, featuring a prospective student’s journey from his neighbourhood to the gateway of his dreams – Temasek Polytechnic. Shot entirely against green and fully composited in post, our talent had to work doubly hard to interact with imaginary elements, from neighbourhood sidewalks, to a magical poster, to a roller coaster plunge. With contributing talent from Temasek Poly alumni Yasser Suratman, final year main talent Ryan, and first year students from the band ‘Cupid’s Heartbreak’, this was a piece that Temasek Poly can proudly refer to as ‘home-made’ (except for us peeps of course).

On our end, this was a graphically challenging project, as environments had to appear cell-drawn. Only problem was, we had no time to do it! The graphics department researched and found solutions (mainly plugins) to overcome this challenge, eventually producing a work of art that was vibrant, raw and textured. The effect is a ‘music video’ that looks as though it’s come to life from the pages of a coloring book.
